Our second show of the 2024-25 MRTC Season is holding auditions!

Synopsis: Rock of Ages follows the story of Drew, a small-town boy with big dreams of becoming a rock star, and Sherrie, a small-town girl with similar aspirations. But when German developers arrive with plans to transform the fabled Sunset Strip into a capitalist strip mall, Drew, Sherrie, and the others must come together to save the strip and preserve the spirit of rock ‘n’ roll before it’s too late. Rock of Ages is a celebration of the spirit of the ’80s and the power of rock ‘n’ roll

WHO: Actors, suggested ages 18+
PLEASE NOTE: This play is rated R: Sexual Content, Suggestive Dancing, Some Heavy Drinking, Drugs and Language.

HOW TO PREPARE: Please prepare 32-bars of music and bring digital accompaniment, plan to dance and read from the script. Wear comfortable clothing and bring list of potential rehearsal conflicts from January 6th- March 2nd. You can also review vocal ranges and character breakdowns on Rock of Age’s Production Page.

CASTING AND REHEARSALS: Cast list will be released on the MRTC website and social media pages by Friday, December 20th, Rehearsals begin Monday, Jan. 6th, 2025. For a full character list breakdown, scroll to the bottom section and click on it to expand it.

PERFORMANCE DATES: Friday, Feb. 28th, Saturday, March 1st and Sunday, March 2nd. Cast will be expected to be at all shows and all rehearsals during the week leading up to the show.
