The MRTC Rock of Ages staff is inviting everyone 21+ to join them at The Garage Pub and Grill on Thursday, December 12th for a night of karaoke fun with Matty O. Entertainment beginning at 8pm!

All are welcome to join and help shake off those rockstar moves and help promote our upcoming auditions and show!

Just look for the folks having too much fun wearing the Rock of Ages show t-shirts!

Festival of Lights Parade Participant Meeting

Come one, come all, it's time to pick up your costumes and get information about walking in the Festival of Lights parade with us! 

WHAT: Festival of Lights Participant Meeting
WHEN: Tuesday, December 3rd at 6:30 PM
WHERE: MRTC's Hangar - 2730 Arnold St Columbus, Indiana
WHO: Anyone who wants to walk in the parade either in costume or in an MRTC show shirt - kids are welcome to participate as long as they have a parent walking with them. The parade is Saturday, December 7th and the "call time" is 5PM.

Festival of Lights Parade Float Paint Day

MRTC is excited to be involved in this year's Festival of Lights Parade and we need your help bringing our float to life! There's not much building to do - just lots of painting! Join us:

When: Sunday, November 24th from 1:30PM - 4:30PM.
What to Wear/Bring: Wear clothes you don't mind getting paint on and bring any extra cardboard you have lying around. We will supply the rest!

MRTC's Wicked Movie Party at Yes! Cinema

Mark your calendars fellow Ozians!

MRTC has reserved Yes! Cinema for a showing of the highly anticipated musical film, Wicked. We know our theatre family is beyond excited to see this film and we figured why not try to get everyone together to do just that!

When: Saturday, November 23rd at 12pm
Where: Yes! Cinema
Price: Suggested donation of $10

TICKETS ARE LIMITED AND FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED PER INDIVIDUAL! This means one ticket per person per entry. Tickets will only be available at the door while they last! Please plan to come early to secure your seat, there are only 177 available seats. Doors will open at 11am.

We are encouraging everyone to dress up for the occasion and will be offering Wicked themed prizes for best costumes!

Please note that we anticipate this to be a very enthusiastic viewing of this film. Meaning, we will laugh, cheer, and potentially sing loudly.

Festival of Lights MRTC Parade Float Information Meeting

MRTC is excited to participate in the Festival of Lights Parade this year and we would love for you to be involved!

If you have interest in designing/building the float, walking in the parade, and/or wearing a costume in the parade, join us for our first information meeting Monday, November 4th at 6pm in the board room of the United Way Building. (Don't worry, we will have people at the front door so you know where to go!)

We will spend some time discussing float ideas and establish a build schedule/timeline for the day of the event.

MRTC Adult Master Class: Special Effects Makeup

Where: The Columbus Township Fire and Rescue - Station 221 (931 Repp Drive, Columbus Indiana 47201)

What: Special Effects Makeup - the third in a series of Adult master classes presented by Mill Race Theatre Company for adults ages 18+ in the Columbus, Indiana area! This class will be combined with high school students, but students need to register separately - click here for more details.

Cost: $20 - You must register in advance in order to attend this class.

What to expect: Come learn all about special effects makeup with our Masters clinician, Johna Wilson! Gear up for spooky season learning tips and tricks to manufacture cuts, bruises, and more! This class is one you won't want to miss!

What to bring: Materials will be provided for students to practice. Students may bring their own eyeshadow palates and brushes if they want to try recreating things with their own makeup.

Clinician’s Bios: Hello! My name is Johna Wilson, I am an Advanced EMT and Primary Instructor at Columbus Township Fire and Rescue.  As a Primary Instructor I have been teaching EMT classes for about 8 years, to help make the skills more realistic I use moulage (make-up) so that the students are able to learn different techniques while simulating treatments.  I have also assisted in larger trainings doing moulage for Columbus Regional Hospital and Shelbyville EMA with their Armed Aggressor Trainings. I love learning new ways to apply make-up, so here is hoping we can learn from each other!
